Intersex and Genderqueer Recognition Project

Intersex and Genderqueer Recognition Project

The mission of Intersex & Genderqueer Recognition Project is to protect intersex, genderqueer, and other non-binary persons' right to gender-self-identify on legal documents.

IGRP's purpose is to fight for the right of non-binary adults in the U.S. to self-identify as something other than male or female on their driver’s license, passport, and other government issued identification through targeted litigation, legislation, and collaboration with other LGBTQI organizations. We provide pro-bono legal representation to both intersex and non-intersex petitioners for non-binary gender change.
